Economic and financial sanctions
The firm regularly advises on economic and financial sanctions, in particular in relation to freezing measures, trade restrictions and embargos.
The firm also advises on criminal seizures in connection with economic and financial sanctions, whether they result from the French authorities’ own measures or from requests for mutual legal assistance.

- Assisting various clients in the implementation or review of sanctions compliance programmes (if required, in collaboration with foreign law firms, including in the United Kingdom and in the United States).
- Determining the product’s origin, i.e. raw materials from Sudan, processed in Europe, for the American market.
- Various applications for the unfreezing of assets.
- Release of criminal seizures in the context of several so-called “ill-gotten” assets proceedings.
- Interpretation and implementation of the blocking act on behalf of a French financial institution, also established in the United States, which was subject of requests in the United States.
